October 5th

img_9523 img_9472Painted some shoes today, that counts right? The tie dye are for my daughter and her friend for a school thing tomorrow and the galaxy ones are for my cousin in law? Anyway, I call her my niece, little miss Ceilidh.

Challenging myself

img_9438img_9437img_9462After taking a class with Gena Lacoste a couple weekends ago, I’ve decided to follow her example and I’m going to try and produce an image a day…for a YEAR! Eek! Well, it will get me producing and not procrastinating. Starting date October first, 2016.

A few from the show

October 28th, 2015

I had my lovely friend Stephanie and my lovely sister Keisha’s help to take down my show on the morning of the 22nd. Now I will hopefully be starting to work on some new ones that I will post as I go. Maybe a new show in the future? Here are a few to look at from the show that just ended in Beaverlodge.

Art show update

Hey everyone! The opening went wonderfully, my mom was there cheering me on and I had wonderful surprises, my sister Keisha came from Edson after travelling all the day the previous day, I’m sure she was exhausted! My friends from Drayton Valley came and I really wasn’t expecting them either! I got hugs, flowers and lots of wonderful comments! Plus I sold 1/3 of my show! That was exciting, I am so happy that they are going to good homes.
I wanted to put up some photos, and I will, but it will be a couple weeks in coming. I have a really busy week coming up, lots of company and a bit of driving around sight seeing. Plus, I am having some technical issues that need sorting. So thank you for stopping by and check back in a couple of weeks, I will post the images from my show so that if you weren’t able to get to the gallery, you will be able to see what was there. I also want to show some shoes I’ve been doing 🙂 Thanks! See you soon!

Hello world!

This is my brand new Word Press site where I will be sharing my art and things that matter to me in the days and years to come. Coincidentally this is the first day of my first solo art show. Come on into the Beaverlodge Area Cultural Centre  at 2 o’clock this afternoon for the opening reception of my new gallery show: “Things I Like to Paint”. Also Lynn Hachey Nordhagen’s “Near and Far, Old and New.” Warm up with coffee or tea in the Tea Room (there are goodies too!), and get to know the artists. Bring a friend. Hope to see you there!
